Easy & Delicious Lime ACV Drink

Easy & Delicious Lime ACV Drink

Lime ACV Drink

It seems like every health and fitness guru is touting the benefits of apple cider vinegar (ACV) drinks these days.  I’ve heard that ACV can treat acne, whiten teeth, increase weight loss, and even cure colds and allergies! While the evidence is still sparse surrounding most of the purported health benefits of ACV, there are a few studies that have shown it to be beneficial for weight loss.  This is because ACV increases feelings of satiety when consumed after a meal by slowing the rate at which food is passed from your stomach into your intestines.  This keeps you feeling fuller for longer, thereby reducing the amount of calories you consume in total throughout the day.

While I choose to manage my weight with a nutrient-dense, real food diet and plenty of movement, there’s little harm in consuming an ACV drink once in awhile for a bit of a “boost”.  Mostly, I just think ACV drinks are refreshing! I picked up one at my local grocery store recently that was made of ACV and lime, sweetened with stevia. It was delicious! But it was also $4 a bottle.  Womp, womp. So, I set out to make it at home. Not only did I succeed, I think I made it even better! This version is bubbly and delightful. The lime juice prevents the drink from tasting too vinegary and it’s calorie-free too!  I decided to call it a spritzer to make it feel extra-fancy.  😉

Easy and Delicious Lime ACV Spritzer

  • 2 T lime juice (fresh-squeezed is best, but bottled will do in a pinch)
  • 1 T ACV
  • 1 packet stevia (or more, depending on your preference)
  • 12 oz seltzer water

Stir together the lime juice, ACV and stevia in the bottom of a glass until all of the stevia dissolves.  Top with seltzer water. Enjoy!

P.S.- Do you consume ACV regularly?  Have you noticed any benefits? I’d love to hear about it in the comments below!

  1. I love apple cider and all of it’s benefits and multi-purposes.
Every morning before I eat anything else I’ve been chugging down a glass of water with 1-2 Tbsp of ACV. I do think that it’s helped me stay healthier this cold and flu season. It’s literally disgusting, but I’m too lazy to make a fancy drink every morn.

I have a friend that’s made me some tasty bubbly drinks with vinegar though and those were yummy. This I will have to invite her over to try this concoction. (Although I’m not a huge fan of stevia, so might try to sweeten it with a little honey instead)
A couple other uses I have for ACV include being a hair conditioner(and if left in helps to heal dandruff), soaking my feet in when my heels get cracked and dry.

    1. Good for you! I can’t get myself to down a shot of it plain! Ack!! I have made this drink with honey and it’s equally delicious! 🙂
I also love putting ACV on my hair once in awhile. It makes it so shiny! I haven’t tried soaking my feet in it yet. I’ll have to try that!
